Norma Gibson, the ex-wife of singer/actor Tyrese Gibson, is requesting that the courts give her ex-husband a mental evaluation, according to TMZ.
Amid the former couple’s contentious custody battle, the Fast & Furious actor has exhibited some bizarre behavior, which was heavily documented on social media. As of late, his Instagram account has been made private and any social media posts have been limited.
Aleen Khanjian, Gibson’s lawyer, reportedly revealed during a hearing that a court-appointed evaluator said Tyrese had a “mental illness.”
Gibson is seeking a permanent restraining order against Tyrese and full custody of their 10-year-old daughter Shayla.
Gibson claims Tyrese has already violated a temporary order by posting videos that address his daughter.

After many of his fans expressed concern, Tyrese took to social media to apologize for his behavior and blamed psychiatric meds for his outbursts.
So far, a mental evaluation hasn’t been ordered by a judge.
